NBSC RESEARCHERS ADVANCE KNOWLEDGE AT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND TOURISM
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) proudly marked its presence at the 1st International Conference on Entrepreneurship, Tourism, and Hospitality Research (ICETHR 2025), held on November 13-14, 2025, at Kalinga State University, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
A distinguished team from the Institute for Business Management (IBM) represented NBSC, contributing to the conference – a platform that convened a diverse group of scholars, practitioners, and educators from across the Philippines and abroad to share innovative research, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations. The NBSC delegation disseminated rigorously conducted studies, reflecting the college’s dedication to advancing research, promoting sustainable practices, and responding to the evolving needs of communities and industries.
Dr. Sheilou Amor B. Ubagan opened the NBSC presentations with her work, Transforming Business Education through the CHECK Framework for Strategic Assessment, Enhancement, and Continuous Improvement of the Curriculum, which introduces a strategic tool for strengthening business education curriculum design and delivery.
This was followed by Mr. Daniel C. Cabanas, who discussed his paper, Understanding Employee Views on the Economic, Social, and Environmental Contribution of Farm Tourism, shedding light on employee perspectives regarding the multifaceted benefits of the industry.
Ms. Niñan Grace L. Paña further enriched the discourse with her study, Farm Tourism and Sustainable Development: Farm Owners’ Perceptions of Economic, Social, and Environmental Contributions, which emphasized farm owners’ insights on how the sector supports sustainability and local progress.
Concluding the presentations, Ms. Sheryl R. Nioda showcased her research, Economic Gains and Social Change through Farm Tourism: A Local Community’s Perspective, exploring how farm tourism fosters livelihood improvements, strengthens community relations, and enhances overall well-being.
Through their participation in ICETHR 2025, the NBSC researchers engaged in meaningful exchanges, explored potential collaborative opportunities, and contributed valuable knowledge to their fields. Their involvement reinforces NBSC’s role as a research-driven institution dedicated to academic excellence, sustainable development, and impactful community engagement.
